The Summer vibes 9ft Longboard Surfboard Knee/Calf Leash Leg Rope – Black/Rust is a 9ft knee/calf leg rope made for walking the board. The cuff sits just below the knee so the cord stays up and out of your feet when you cross-step. Finished in black with a rust-coloured highlight, matching straight across the Summer vibes range.
If you walk a longboard, a knee leash is the better option. Ankle leashes drag and get under your feet when you cross-step and take the full force of a wipeout on your ankle. A knee/calf leash stays higher, keeps your footwork clean for trimming and nose riding, and spreads the load further up the leg. No ankle tan lines either.

We will replace any Summer vibes leash that legitimately snaps within 12 months of purchase. Fin cuts are not covered: that is where the leash wraps around the board and is cut by a fin, usually 5–10 cm from the end of the rail saver.

keep your gear fresh — a few simple habits
rinse after every surf. fresh water. a 60-second rinse saves gear for years.
dry in the shade, store cool. direct hot sun can delaminate darker boards. keep boards in their cover, flat or on racks — leaning on soft fins can warp them.
check your leash & fins often. look at the swivel, string and plug screws. a tired leash or a loose fin will ruin a good wave and can cost a lot more than a wipeout.
wax it right. base coat first, then top coat in small circles. when it gets grubby, strip it off with a wax comb (or park in the sun for 10 min) and start fresh.
