The Summer vibes 9ft Longboard Surfboard Ankle Leash Leg Rope – Black/Rust is a 9ft longboard ankle leg rope built for longboards and mals from about 8'6 to 9'6. Finished in black with a rust-coloured highlight, matching straight across the Summer vibes range of boards, fins, leashes and traction.
The rule of thumb is a leash about the same length as your board. Too short and the board is too close to you, which can cause a safety issue when diving over the front; too long and it can get tangled and causes too much drag. A 9ft leash is the right call for longboarders who want a leash that matches the length of the board, and the premium moulded cuff and double swivel keep it comfortable and tangle-free session after session.

keep your gear fresh — a few simple habits
rinse after every surf. fresh water. a 60-second rinse saves gear for years.
dry in the shade, store cool. direct hot sun can delaminate darker boards. keep boards in their cover, flat or on racks — leaning on soft fins can warp them.
check your leash & fins often. look at the swivel, string and plug screws. a tired leash or a loose fin will ruin a good wave and can cost a lot more than a wipeout.
wax it right. base coat first, then top coat in small circles. when it gets grubby, strip it off with a wax comb (or park in the sun for 10 min) and start fresh.
