The Summer vibes 5ft Surfboard Leash Leg Rope – Matte Black/White is a 5ft leg rope built for grom boards and shortboards up to about 5'6. Finished in matte black and white, matching straight across the Summer vibes range of boards, fins, leashes and traction.
The rule of thumb is a leash about the same length as your board. Too short and the board is too close to you, which can cause a safety issue when diving over the front; too long and it can get tangled and causes too much drag. A 5ft leash is the right call for groms, lighter surfers and anyone on a small board in small waves, and the premium moulded cuff and double swivel keep it comfortable and tangle-free session after session.

keep your gear fresh — a few simple habits
rinse after every surf. fresh water. a 60-second rinse saves gear for years.
dry in the shade, store cool. direct hot sun can delaminate darker boards. keep boards in their cover, flat or on racks — leaning on soft fins can warp them.
check your leash & fins often. look at the swivel, string and plug screws. a tired leash or a loose fin will ruin a good wave and can cost a lot more than a wipeout.
wax it right. base coat first, then top coat in small circles. when it gets grubby, strip it off with a wax comb (or park in the sun for 10 min) and start fresh.
