Open 7 days
Surfboards, softboards, bodyboards and surf skates — hire steps from Snapper Rocks, Rainbow Bay and Kirra.
Experienced surfer? Step into our performance quiver — premium hand-shaped shortboards, fish and mid-lengths from Bradley, Channel Islands, Arakawa and Jim Banks. Built for Snapper, Kirra and the Superbank.
First time or getting back into it? Our softboard range is where to start — stable, forgiving and seriously fun, from 4' grom foamies through to 9' mini mals. Rainbow Bay is right out front and it's the perfect learning wave.

How to book your surf hire
Surf Hire FAQs — Coolangatta & Rainbow Bay
Where do I pick up my hire board?
Pickup is at our Coolangatta shop — 227 Boundary Street, Coolangatta QLD 4225. We're a 2-minute walk to Rainbow Bay and 5 minutes to Snapper Rocks, Greenmount and Kirra.
What are your opening hours?
We're open 5am to 6pm, 7 days a week — early enough for dawn patrol, late enough for the arvo session.
How long can I hire a board for?
We offer flexible hire periods including 2-hour, half-day, full-day, weekly and longer-term rentals. Check each product page for the rate that suits your stay.
Do I need experience to hire a board?
Not at all. If you're a beginner, our softboard range is perfect — stable, forgiving and easy to paddle. Rainbow Bay is one of the best learning waves on the Gold Coast. If you're experienced, we have a premium quiver including shapes from Bradley, Channel Islands, Arakawa and Jim Banks.
Do you hire bodyboards and surf skates too?
Yes — we have bodyboards for kids and adults (great for Rainbow Bay) and Smoothstar surf skates for training your turns on land when the waves are flat.
Do you provide leg ropes and wax?
Yes — every hire includes a leg rope and fresh wax so you're ready to paddle out straight away.
Can I book over the phone?
Absolutely. Call us on 0412 695 505 and we'll sort you out, or book online and pick up at the shop.
Where are the best beginner waves near your shop?
Rainbow Bay is right out front — sheltered, sandy bottom, ideal for learners. Greenmount and Coolangatta Beach are also beginner-friendly on smaller days. Snapper Rocks and Kirra are world-class but better suited to experienced surfers.
